Modern Contemporary Style
About The Project
These Tallahassee homeowners wanted to update their existing kitchen with a contemporary look and a touch of modern. Together we selected a versatile shaker door style in Toffee Maple from Echelon and Curava quartz countertops in Lemongrass to blend with the warm grey subway tile back-splash. Under cabinet and LED ceiling lights were added to brighten up the kitchen. The new range was paired with Zephyr’s sleek new stainless steel hood. A coffee Station with Sharp’s Microwave pull-out drawer was added to the dining nook to free up counter space in the kitchen and pull the two rooms together. Our customers LOVE their new kitchen!
We finally bit the bullet and decided that this was the year to do some upgrades; new kitchen cabinets, new countertops including in the nook, new appliances, new and extended wood floor, and new paint. Given the scope of the work, not to mention the anticipated cost, it was extremely important to us that we hire a first-‐rate remodeler, someone knowledgeable, who knows how to listen, understands the importance of transparency, knows how to estimate costs accurately, and who has excellent professional relationships with some of the best contractors in the business.
Also, ideally, someone who is patient, not pushy, and courteous; in short, a professional for whom doing a job well is priority one. Scott is all this and pleasant too. We are delighted with the results of the project: new kitchen, new paint, new floor. To be sure, it’s the look! But, it is also the attention to detail; the contractors were highly skilled, especially the carpenter and painter, and we are thrilled that it shows. Some advice: it is a very good idea to engage the services of an interior designer as early as possible in the project. The designer Scott works with is excellent. If high quality is what you’re after, then Scott is your man.
